Life in the UK Test Questions

The Life in the UK test questions will cover a wide range of topics related to past and current people, customs, and laws in the United Kingdom.

Topics can range from monarchies and lawmakers to pop stars and sporting events.

All the questions are taken from the official revision handbook, you must read through the Life in the United Kingdom: A Guide for New Residents handbook before attempting any of our mock tests.

Types of questions

You’ll have to answer 4 types of questions, these are:

  1. True or False questions: These are in a standard true or false format where you will be given a statement and you will have to decide if the statement is true or false.
  2. Correct statement questions: For these questions, you will get two statements, one will be correct and one will be wrong, you’ll have to choose the correct statement.
  3. Choose ONE answer questions: You will be asked a question with 4 possible answers, you must choose ONE (the correct one) answer from the 4 possible options.
  4. Choose TWO answers questions: These are similar to the “choose one answer” questions, but instead, you will need to choose TWO correct answers. Please note that you will need to choose both correct answers to get a point for this type of question.

Preparing for the test

It is nearly impossible to pass the citizenship test in 2020 without reading through the revision handbook.

You need to read through this book if you want to pass, only then should you start attempting a few Life in the UK test questions.

This isn’t a common-sense test, there are indeed a few easy questions and there are lots of questions relating to different dates.

I know personally that these are hard to remember, that’s why I have created this revision page to help you remember some important dates mentioned in the revision book.

Our Life in the UK practice tests

All of our Life in the UK mock tests will follow the same format as the real test, the only difference is that we have not assigned a time limit to any of them, this is to allow you to go over each question carefully and then double-check your answers.

Just like the real test, all the answers to our practice questions can be found in the Life in the UK: A Guide for New Residents handbook.

I can’t stress enough how important this Life in the UK test revision book is – please ensure you read it cover to cover to ensure you’re fully prepared.
